SSSO Student wins Cambridge University competition
Two Year 10 Students, Maisie Fitzgerald (10O) and Danielle Ankrah-Anobah (10B), spent some of their Easter holidays attending a residential masterclass at Pembroke College, Cambridge. The three day programme exposed both of these students to studying at Cambridge and studying Science at university. The conduct of both Maisie and Danielle led to the project coordinator at Pembroke College, Emma Paulus, writing to the school. She commented: "Thank you so much for nominating Danielle and Maisie for the Pembroke Science Masterclass, they were both a pleasure to work with."
Maisie deserves additional credit for winning the diary competition held during the masterclass. She held off competition from the 57 other participants and extracts from her diary can be found on the Pembroke College website:
Danielle also features in this article with a picture of her (she is on the left) completing an experiment in one of the laboratories.
Well done girls!
