Get On with Microsoft
On Friday 22nd March, the six Year 13 A Level ICT students travel to Microsoft in Victoria for a careers workshop courtesy of Microsoft and their Get On programme. Get On is a Microsoft initiative that aims to help 300,000 unemployed people between the ages of 16 and 24 through education, training and work experience to reach employment. Students received careers advice on how to plan and prepare for an interview for a large organisation like Microsoft. Students were also given a chance to win a work experience placement at Microsoft and a 30 minute mentorship with someone from Microsoft.
All of the students found the event very useful and valuable in helping them prepare for future employment and consider a career in the IT industry.
