Record Results Again

St Saviour’s and St Olave’s is delighted to announce its best ever set of GCSE results. 82% of our Year 11 students achieved the key benchmark of 5 A* to C including English and Mathematics. This represents a 4% improvement on our previous best which was achieved last year.

We are exceptionally proud of not only the attainment of our girls, but also their progress with 93% of students in English and 91% in Maths achieving the Government’s target of three levels progress between key stage 2 and key stage 4. Our successes extended to a range of different subjects with a record 45% of our students achieving the EBacc group of qualifications.

A summary of the figures can be found below:

82% of students achieved the main government benchmark of 5 A* to C grades including English and Maths;

90% of students achieved 5 A* to C grades;

44% of students achieved the English Baccalaureate;

82% of students achieved A* to C grades in Mathematics;

97% of students achieved A* to C grades in English;

78% of students achieved 2 A* to C grades in Science.

Amongst an array of fantastic results, there were some outstanding outcomes for individual students.

Headteacher, Catherine May, expressed her delight: “Congratulations to all of our year 11 students on these wonderful results.  82% achieving 5A*-C grades including English and Maths is the best in the school’s history and I am so proud of the girls.  They have worked extremely hard along with our totally dedicated teaching and support staff, and I’m delighted their effort has been so well rewarded. We look forward to them achieving further success in the 6th Form.”

Director of Learning (Key Stage 4), Anne Marie Jones, said: “These are a fantastic set of results, the best ever and richly deserved by a hard-working year group. I warmly congratulate Year 11 and wish them every success for the future.”
