Bridges to Africa
On the 7th of June, 60 pupils were involved in walking 10km and crossing 10 Bridges, with over £2,000 raised for Limited Resource Teacher Training (LRTT) charity. LRTT is a charity that trains local teachers in third world countries to enable a better education and outcome for thousands of children.
Once again, Bridges to Africa 2014 was a fantastic success, raising a record amount of money for charity. Despite the colossal amount of rain as everyone was huddled under umbrellas before we started, spirits remained high. Luckily, to everyone's delight, the sun came out and the majority of the walk was completed in lovely British sunshine! It was a fantastic day out. Well done to all the Yr7s and Yr8s that took part, and to all those that supported them in their sponsorship. LRTT was delighted with the outcome, as will be thousands of children.
