Once again the students and staff of St Saviour’s & St Olave’s displayed their generosity during the recent Comic Relief day fundraising event. Each colour house organised a different activity in a bid to raise as much as possible and to do ‘something funny for money’. Guess the gorilla, guess the weight of the cake, a fun photo shoot and who’s that baby all went towards raising an impressive £1300 !
In keeping with the schools House Cup Challenge all students went all out to dress in their house colours; which is easier said than done for orange and yellow! Staff also got into the spirit of dressing up. Form tutors donned house colours and some even went as far as fancy dress.
There was a fantastic atmosphere and everyone dug deep in support of the many causes supported by Comic Relief both at home and abroad. Well done to everyone who gave so much time and energy in making the day a success. The year 12 House captains and form tutors deserve a special mention for their hard work in organising and running the lunchtime events. Well done!
